Second time I stayed at this hostel and it was just like the first; cheap and chearful! Friendly staff, free luggage storage, the rooms are not of the highest quality, it's just your standard stuff really. Best thing is definitely the location; a 5 min walk in one direction and you're smack bang in the middle of Prague's Old Town Square! Therefore this makes up for the lack of atmosphere at the hostel itself and really adds value for money!

The rooms look very crude, but all basic services are provideda and it's quite clean. A good budget place for just washing and sleeping. A great plus is the location very near to the main bus and train stations.

We arrived in the middle of the night and we were led to our room. The hostel itself can be a bit intimidating, primarily because of all the scrawling on the doors but our room was situated on a quiet wing of the hostel although as we were led to our room were overheard lots of rowdy groups. The location is fantastic, you could not be any closer to the main train station or public transport networks! The rooms were clean and the beds were really comfy! had a great night's sleep! the bathrooms were not very clean however and this may bother some people, it all felt a bit unhygienic :/ Definitely look through the photos I've uploaded- if you want a hostel for £10 a night in the city centre then this is the one for you! :)

Liked: This is very basic accommodation. Which was exactly what I was looking for. The location is very good, walking distance into the old town. If you are after a cheap room in a good location, this is it. also has a lift!

Disliked: Wifi only in the reception area. No real communal area, well not that I could find anyway, so not much of a chance to meet other travellers.

Our stay in Prague was great but sometimes it's not just about the city; actually the accomodation factor is very important. We were pretty lucky about that and our hostel made everything easier and us happy. The location was amazing that main train station took only couple of minutes by walking. City centre was also very close and we could reach almost every sightseeing spots by walking as well. Apart from that, the stuff and people at the hostel were really friendly, kind, sincere and nice.

This hostel was good for us, as we were a group of 5. However, I don't think I would recommend it if I was a lone traveler. There is a small common area at the front of the building, but I didn't see much socialising here. Our room had 6 beds in it, some of which were pushed together, again fine because we were all friends, but could be awkward if you were with a stranger. Also, there was no lockers in the room, just two cupboards. We had padlocks with chains so just used those.

...it is always the question of what you are expecting to find. If you search for a comfortable stay with your wife or family maybe Jednota is not the right place for you. If on the other hand you search for a cheap place to sleep on a trip with your drinking buddies, and have no further expectations than a bed, you will get exactly what you need.

I am a returning customer for years, and have to say, the price is just unbeatable. Further you stay directly at the main train station, in walking distance of Wenceslas Square and the historical center of Prague. Just fine ... if it fits your type of holidays!

Liked: The staff was really helpfull-we even were allowed to check out a little later. It is inexpensive and pretty close to the centre -everything is walking distance, also the bus and train station. The washrooms were clean.

Disliked: The mattresses were not too comfortable.

We arrived at Hostel Jednota at 11pm due to a delayed train and were keen to check out our room! The receptionist didn't have our booking and tried to over charge us! After showing our email conformation all was amended. The building is huge, very fascinating! Please be aware wi-fi only works in the reception area. Simple rooms and clean showers. A budget hostel in a beautiful city!

If you are looking for an affordable and convenient accommodation you should take a look at this hostel. It is basically an active dormitory with rooms to rent with all it's ups and downs. The rooms are modest but clean, you can feel safe (every person has to leave the room key at the reception and get it back with a special, individually issued card). Additionally, if you find partying people generally annoying, maybe you should consider a different choice.
